Teaching Gallery Sound System In specialized educational facilities there are often areas such as operating rooms where actual procedures are taking place with students watching from a separate room. The Tech Works IC-52 Dual Channel Amplifier was specifically designed to handle the challenges of this type of application. With one dedicated channel for the students to listen to the procedure and a second channel for students to ask question when allowed, the IC-52 makes it like they were in the same room. Special control circuitry allows the teacher to control whether the students can talk and listen or just listen to the professions doing the procedure. The PRO-47T-PLUS microphone has lighted switches that give the teacher complete control of all talk and listen functions. When the “Talk” switch is active the IC-52 automatically sets the proper levels and the students can ask questions and hear the answer from the procedure room professionals. A variety of microphones, both wired and wireless, are available to meet the needs of the professionals performing the procedures. In some cases the students need to hear all conversations in the procedure room to fully understand what is going on. In this case our HM-1 hidden microphone provides unobtrusive pick up of all sounds. However in some cases only the lead professional is to be heard and a dedicated microphone either directly in front of the work area or a head worn microphone is more appropriate. We can design the system to fit the individual needs of the facilities. Clear intelligible sound is provided to all listeners in both the procedure room and the observation gallery by professional quality white ceiling speakers. The System 5 is a complete drop in assembly with everything needed for installation in a drop tile ceiling including back box and trim.
